Jessica Simpson is in the news. She is engaged to boyfriend and former NFL player Eric Johnson. This may come as sad news to some as she is now off the market, as if any of us had a shot anyway.

But this got me thinking and when that happens, it usually results in a slide show with a lot of hot women. So I have decided a list of those women that will be off the market soon because of impending marriages or long-lasting relationships.

Jessica Simpson reportedly reeling from the news that a sex tape starring her and ex-hubby Nick Lachey has hit the internet.

In the alleged X-rated home video, the 25-year-old star is said to be seen engrossed in various sexual acts with Lachey.

“Jessica is horrified her name and sex tape are being mentioned in the same sentence. She’’s always been a girl of high morals and principles,” Stuff.co.nz quoted a source, as telling Britain’’s Daily Sport newspaper.

Reports suggest that the tape does exist and has now landed in the hands of people who were behind making the Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex video public.

It is also said that these miscreants are now threatening Jessica that they would leak the tape if she fails to pay an undisclosed sum of money to keep the tape a secret.

While Nick is now dating MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo, Jessica is dating American football star Tony Romo.

The blonde beauty wants to be taken seriously as an actress and believes baring all is the best way to earn the respect of Tinseltown, even if it goes against her family's wishes.

A source said: "Jessica is in the running for a role that, if she gets it, will put her right on the map in terms of acting.

"The only hitch is that the script requires a number of quite graphic scenes including a full-frontal nude scene. Jessica is so desperate to land the role and get the industry's respect that she's ready to go against her better judgement, and her family, by agreeing to bare all."

Earlier this year, Jessica's father Joe Simpson forced her to turn down a potentially Oscar-winning role as a porn star - insisting she keep her clothes on.

He said: "The last script that came to us was for Jessica to be a porn star. We were promised we would win an Oscar with that. I told them, 'I think we'll just buy a statue of a little man and keep our clothes on.' "

Jessica's movie career has stalled of late, with her most recent film Blonde Ambition failing to gain a cinema release and being branded a "disaster".

The actress was due to speak to Lara Spencer of America's 'The Insider' show at 10am.

However, Jessica didn't arrive until 9pm, leaving Laura - who had flown to Louisiana, where Jessica is currently filming new movie 'Major Movie Star', to conduct the interview - waiting for 11 hours.

Jessica's spokesperson blamed the wait on miscommunication, saying: "Jessica did the interview as soon as she was free from shooting."

While Jessica is always been known for her sizeable boobs, the friend insists they’ve grown further: “Her breasts are positively huge, and she really seems to be taking care of herself.”

“She’s not saying anything one way or the other when the subject comes up, but women who put on weight don’t smile when someone suggests they might be pregnant.”

Jessica dated John Mayer for around six months before reportedly splitting up last week. Her publicist has denied the pregnancy rumours.

Jessica Simpson is selling a pair of autographed high-heeled leather boots on eBay.

The 'These Boots are Made for Walking' singer will donate all proceeds from the sale to Sole4Souls, a charity which provides shoes to poverty-stricken people.

Bidders have until May 13 to walk away with the shoes.

Currently, the top bid stands at $365.

The website promises that all you have to do is "slip into Jessica's ultra-glam boots and you will instantly feel like the bombshell you are", a promise which has attracted more than 30 bids since they went on sale on April 11.

The knee length, size seven boots have four-and-a-half inch heels and both feature the singer's signature in flowery silver handwriting, with a few kisses.

Kind-hearted Jessica is known for her charity work.

In February, she donated an eight-passenger minivan to a Mexican orphanage.

Jessica Simpson has been tipped to replace Louis Walsh on the judging panel and TV bosses are hoping Jessica, 26, will boost ratings.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "They are looking for a looking for a female American judge to balance things up and Jessica is a sexy girl and will add some glamour to the show."

Paula Abdul - who sits alongside Simon Cowell on the 'American Idol' judging panel - and La Toya Jackson have also been linked to the job.

The new series of 'X Factor' will have four judges, rather than three, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles is hoping to grab the extra spot.

Chris, 33, has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Simon, saying: "I'm just waiting for the call. I'm definitely interested."

Simon has already revealed he would like the loudmouth DJ to join the new-look judging panel.

He said: "He is among a number of people whose names have been thrown in the ring. But nothing has been decided just yet."

'Big Brother's Little Brother' presenter Dermot O'Leary has been tipped to take over as the show's host following Kate Thorton's departure.

However, if he does agree to present the show, it will clash with the next series of 'Big Brother'.

'X Factor' auditions begin next month and the new series will air in August.

Jessica Simpson says she was stung when ex-husband Nick Lachey jumped back into dating after their high-profile breakup. "Oh, it hurt me," the 26-year-old singer-actress says in an interview in the March issue of Elle magazine, on newsstands Feb. 13. "Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me."

Simpson and Lachey, 33, starred in the MTV reality show, "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica." She filed for divorce in December 2005, after three years of marriage.

She made that decision, she says, after watching the 2004 romance "The Notebook" on a plane ride home to Texas. "Mm-hmmm," she tells the magazine. "He's so much a part of my life, how could I not be? Any guy that's going to be with me from this day forward has to understand that. You want to help me find a guy?"

(It appears that's not necessary. Simpson has been photographed recently with singer-songwriter John Mayer, and in her profile in Elle, the writer noted that he spotted e-mails from Mayer on her computer.)

She says she "is so happy right now," but declined to discuss her love life. "I want to tell you everything, but I have to sew my lips together," she says.

Asked whether she's in love, a grinning Simpson plays coy: "I didn't say yes."
