Forget Princess Fiona and Shrek, all eyes were on exes Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake as they reunited at the world premiere of Shrek the Third.

The longtime pair split late last year, and though there has been a report of at least one brief Hollywood encounter, the Shrek screening marked the first major media event at which they've been photographed together since the breakup.

Timberlake and Diaz both voice characters in the animated film but managed to studiously avoid each other until they had to pose for a cast photo.

The pair then bowed to the inevitable, and stiffly hugged each other before kissing each other on the cheek.

Timbaland, who's crafted hits for Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, wants to help Britney Spears reclaim her once-stellar career.

"I feel her pain, it really bothers me," the 34-year-old rapper-producer says in an interview in Entertainment Weekly magazine's March 16 issue. "I'm the type of person who tries to save the world. I just want to take her away, go overseas, and work (it) out."

Timbaland says he invited Timberlake, his "best friend" and Spears' ex-boyfriend, to be part of that plan.

"I asked Justin, 'How would you feel about me working with Britney?' I had to ask him that," Timbaland is quoted as saying. "I said, 'Would you do it with me?' "

The 26-year-old "SexyBack" singer said he would, according to Timbaland, who notes: "She's just gotta be serious."

There's tons of controversy surrounding a possible appearance by Justin Timberlake at a club in Illinois. The promoters say they have paid for him to come, but the star and his peeps say they don't know what they're talking about.

Sharky's Billiards owner Joe Piagentini says a promoter assured him that Timberlake had been paid $25,000 to make an autograph-signing appearance at the bar after a March 13 concert at Rosemont in the Chicago suburbs.

This could be the best publicity spin this club has ever put on any appearance. Gotta get on the map somehow huh?

The 'SexyBack' singer admits he was surprised by his ex-girlfriend's decision to cut her locks but thinks she can pull off the drastic look.

He is quoted by MTV as saying: "It was a smart choice, she is starting over, cleaning herself up. It was something you wouldn't expect most people to do, so she is taking a chance."

Justin and Britney became friends when they starred together as children on the 'New Mickey Mouse Club' TV show.

They dated for several years before splitting in March 2002, amid speculation Britney had cheated on Justin.

On Tuesday night (20.02.07) Britney checked herself into rehab.

The 25-year-old singer admitted herself into California's Promises Malibu Treatment Center following concerns over her erratic behavior.

Her manager Larry Rudolph confirmed: "Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility. We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."

Rudolph did not disclose what Britney was being treated for. US reports claim the 'Toxic' singer has allegedly taken cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs.
