It might have been Paris Hilton that dumped her latest party pal Britney Spears, not the other way around, inside sources have revealed.

Although it was claimed the pop tart stopped partying with the socialite after being warned being associated with her could damage her chances of a comeback, insiders say it was Hilton who shunned Spears because she became jealous of how close she became to her close friend Brandon Davis.

“Paris is very protective over her men and she didn’t want Britney getting too close,” a source told British newspaper ‘The Sun’.

Paris was spotted dining with Brandon in New York recently, while Britney partied in L.A.
