Who’s the new man spotted kissing newly brunette Britney Spears? He’s music producer Jonathan “JR” Roten, who caught a movie (“The Holiday”) with the recently single songstress Sunday. They then dined at The 3rd Stop, where Brit got cozy on JR’s lap and they made out in public view before heading back to his pad.

Call it a workplace romance: JR’s working on what will hopefully be Britney’s comeback album. Ironically, his résumé also includes work on her soon-to-be-ex-husband Kevin Federline’s panned debut disc.

Career-wise, Brit’s new beau is actually a big step up from her deadbeat FedEx — not to mention heavily perspiring party boy Brandon Davis, to whom she was (alarmingly) linked recently. Born in South Africa to Israeli parents, JR, a schooled jazz pianist, has crafted hits for 50 Cent, the Game and Rihanna, and just launched his own record label imprint. MTV named him one of 2006’s “superproducers.” Not too shabby!

Best of luck to Britney in her new rebound romance. But there are two other cute guys we’d like to see in her arms: sons Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden, 3 months.
